4th of July falls on a Friday this year, meaning most of the nation will get to enjoy a long weekend, one that will be especially enjoyable when you choose to make the journey to Park City. Offering a weekend filled with fun, relaxation, and all the comforts of home, there is so much to do here, you may be a bit worried that you will forget something important. Fortunately, you chose I Love Park City for your comforts of home, and we have created this Park City 4th of July weekend itinerary to ensure that you can eke every bit of something wonderful out of your mountain getaway!
The 4th Is Going to Be a Busy Day
Celebrating our nation’s birthday is something we love to do, so on Friday, you are going to have to make sure you fuel up with a hearty and delicious breakfast at the Eating Establishment. Open every day from 8AM until 9PM and located at 317 Main Street, no one leaves this popular eatery hungry and the hearty menu options will ensure that you are fully fueled up to handle all the activities listed below!
Full and Fulfilling
Your 4th of July in Park City will offer a full day of fun and exciting activities, and although we aren’t seeing any information regarding a fireworks show, there is a listing of a drone show, which may be even better. We are noticing a trend that goes away from fireworks, especially in areas with drier climates, but modern technology and the invention of the drone will ensure you won’t miss a single boom. Your Independence Day in Park City will start with a parade and a flyover performed by the 419th Fighter Wing based out of Hill Air Force Base. Also featuring food trucks, rugby, kid’s games, and live music at City Park. Forums Fest at Canyons Village is a three-day event (July 3-5) that offers live music, drone shows—and wait a minute, yes, there it is. Fireworks will be offered at Forums Fest, so whew, your traditional Park City 4th of July will be complete!
Saturday Looks Quite Promising as Well
The good times continue into Saturday, so you may want to make sure you enjoy another hearty breakfast, maybe trying out the wonderful options found at the Bridge Café & Grill? Located at 825 Main Street and offering a breakfast menu filled with comfort foods, everyone will find something that makes their taste buds sing.
Park City Provides the Best of Times
Park City always has the best adventures, but on day two of your Utah explorations, you may want to venture out into the surrounding town of Oakley, located just 17 miles north of us and offering the world class Oakley Rodeo. The rodeo runs from July 2 through July 5th, offering bull riding, bronco busting, a drone show, oh, and wait, fireworks every night of the show. If you want to stay in town for July 5th it is a beautiful day to take a hike along the Armstrong Trail, or to spend the day exploring all that our mountain town has to offer, including shops, boutiques and some world class restaurants. And when the sun sets on another wonderful day in Park City, a visit to the iconic Riverhorse on Main is sure to remind you that you deserve the finer things in life, finer things that can be found right here in Park City, Utah. The No Name Saloon, also on Main Street, offers another iconic Park City experience, famous for its buffalo burgers and celebrating 25 years in business in 2025.
How Can It Be Sunday Already?
We told you this was going to be a fun-filled weekend, but we may have forgotten to mention that it would go by in a blink of an eye. In any case, by the time July 6th rolls around, the celebrations will all have concluded, and that gives you some free time to explore more of what makes this mountain town so special. Maybe this is the day you will sign up for a guided fly fishing trip with Park City Fly Fishing Company, taking up a sport that will become your greatest obsession. Or maybe you will decide to visit Utah Olympic Park, walking in the footsteps of some of our nation’s greatest athletes. Located at 3419 Olympic Parkway, the park features a museum, a summer bobsled experience, and guided tours that will reveal the story behind this very important structure!
