April in Park City is one of those months that offers mixed messages and mixed feelings for most residents. The middle of the month is when ski season takes its final bow, and although we are sad for our time on the slopes to end, we are also excited for the warmer days that are starting to appear, and when you visit in April, you will understand exactly what we are saying. Today, we at I Love Park City are presenting this guide to Park City April events in our mountain town, filling your daylight hours with fun and fancy and your nights with all the comforts of home found in our spring sanctuaries!

Gondola Art Stroll, November 24 through April 20, Canyons Village

This fun walk amongst the gondolas is a daily recurring event, featuring six gondolas that have been turned into art installations created by the most creative people we have ever met. The gondolas are ones that have been retired from service, but we think they find their new purpose in life absolutely acceptable, as they will be making Canyon Village an even more beautiful spot to explore. Placed in a variety of locations throughout the village, each gondola will feature a different winter scene that includes hidden items for you to find. The map of gondolas can be found here.

2025 Park City Spring Wine Festival, April 3-5, Pendry Park City, 2417 W High Mountain Road

When you think your spring visit to Park City can’t get any better, the 2025 Park City Spring Wine Festival decides to make an appearance and we don’t think you will mind being wrong! Offering a long weekend of wine, music, food, and fun, over 100 wineries will be represented at this sip-sational event, coming in from all over the world to let you sample their grapes. Wine pairing lunches and dinners will make your taste buds stand up and cheer and paired wine hikes, lifestyle events, and seminars will increase your wine knowledge while making your wine loving heart smile broadly. No children or pets are allowed at the festival, but live music and delicious wine will make you ok with it. Tickets can be purchased on the wine festival website, and if you can’t make it to Park City for this event, you will have a second opportunity in the fall as the 2025 Park City Fall Wine Festival is scheduled for October 2-4.

2025 Canyons Village Spring Concert Series, April 5 & April 12, Canyons Village Forum Stage

Even as the nights may be frosty and cold, the afternoons can be absolutely idyllic, and the 2025 Canyons Village Spring Concert Series offers another excellent way to get outside and enjoy all that fresh air. They aren’t telling us who will be performing, preferring to let us all be delightfully surprised, but we can promise you will dance in your seats and sing along to the music performed by the most talented musicians in the state. The concerts start at 3:00 and end at 5:00, so if you are skiing, you might want to cut your day short for at least one of these days.

Pond Skim, April 12, Eagle Race Arena

As it grows closer to the end of ski season, there is one last hurrah to be experienced, otherwise known as the Pond Skim event. Featuring 100 skimmers skiing down the mountain as fast as they can, hoping they can skim across the slushy pond at the base of the slope. Failure can mean an icy splashdown and although the skiers aren’t too thrilled at the dunking, bystanders cheer all that much loudly when they sink! Although this event is open to anyone over the age of 18, there are only 150 slots, and as of this writing, they have all been filled, and we are sorry to disappoint you if your dream was to pond skim, but trust us, watching is much more fun!

Last Friday Gallery Stroll, April 25, Historic Main Street

The slopes will be quiet, the lifts will have stopped their circuit, and ski season will be officially over, but April does offer one last event that shouldn’t be missed. The monthly last Friday Gallery Stroll will satisfy your need to shop for souvenirs or gifts, with 19 galleries staying open, offering light refreshments and another chance to explore the art of Park City, perhaps finding the perfect piece to hang above your desk at work.
