Time to Dine

Vacations are often remembered for the meals that we eat in between adventures and sometime the meals may become adventures, something that happens quite often in Park City. Known as a foodie’s paradise, the restaurants that dot our landscape are destined to enhance your escape to the mountains, and although reservations are highly recommended for most restaurants, there are still ways to get in and start devouring in a relatively quick manner. The restaurants listed below are sure to please and are guaranteed to offer memorable meals.

Salt Box Eatery & Catering, 1782 Prospector Avenue

When you are seeking an inexpensive way to start your day, but still want that farm to table goodness that is so healthy for your family, a visit to Salt Box will be all you need. Also open for lunch, reservations are not necessary, and even during its busiest times, waits are rarely more than 15 minutes at the max. They offer online ordering for those on-the-run days.

Twisted Fern, 1300 Snow Creek Drive Suite RS

Tucked away in a strip mall, most travelers don’t even realize that this chef-driven restaurant exists, but don’t let its bland surroundings chase you away; the Twisted Fern is destined to be a delightful surprise! Offering a new twist on classic American dishes, their menus change on a seasonal basis, using fresh and local ingredients that again, will make parents feel good about what their children eat. Reservations are recommended, but wait times tend to max at 15 minutes.

Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Parkway

Now that you have filled your tank with the delicious goodness you ordered at Salt Box, it is time to explore all that Park City has to offer, and we are happy to inform you that even as this was a last-minute getaway, there really is no limit to what you can do, including walking in the footsteps of champions with a visit to Utah Olympic Park. We were so proud to be a part of the 2002 Winter Olympics and the park celebrates that history while also continuing to be a training venue for future Olympians! Open every day from 9 until 5, even the busiest hours are manageable and who knows? Maybe your child will get bit by the Olympic bug!

Take a Hike

Chances are your last-minute vacation in Park City is taking place not long after reading this, meaning you will be visiting Park City during one of its most beautiful seasons, the fall. Offering a crisp coolness in the air, the vibrant colors of trees dressed in their autumn finest, and an overall feeling of goodwill (the last occurs in every season), adding a hike to your itinerary is sure to enhance your pleasure in the season. The best trails run in the moderate to difficult range, including Rob’s Trail and Clayton Peak via Blood Mountain Trail, taking you to where panoramic views will take your breath away.

Exploring Downtown Park City

Downtown Park City offers a beautiful blend of shops, galleries, and restaurants, with most being housed inside historic buildings, and if you do nothing else during your stay, visiting these shops will ensure that your luggage will be quite full when you return home. It’s a good thing our I Love Park City sanctuaries offer fully equipped laundry rooms, because this means you can pack light and leave room for the art you purchased from Main Street Gallery or the cute new sweater you picked up at Flight Boutique.
