Spring Break is a popular time to travel, as kids are off school and adults often want a break from their everyday routine. If you’re looking to plan something extra special this year, we suggest heading to Park City for an exhilarating getaway! Read on below to see how to spend your Spring Break in Park City, Utah.

Head to One of the Ski Resorts

Even if the snow is slowly dwindling, you can still get a few more good runs in during the springtime. Just before the last snow melts, make sure you get a lift pass, pack up your snowboard, put on your goggles, and head to one of the nearby resorts, like Deer Valley Resort or Park City Mountain. The springtime is arguably the best season to go skiing, since you will have fewer crowds to deal with, warmer weather, and blue skies all day long.

We recommend doing one of the southeastern facing slopes early in the day before they soften up and turn into fresh powder. Then, work your way to the other side of the mountain to continue shredding the perfect packed snow. Try any choice of beginner, intermediate, or black diamond runs to really push yourself on a big ski day out.

Enjoy Après Ski

And, of course, after a big day of skiing, snowboarding, or tubing, you need to indulge in some après ski to let loose, relax, and chill out. We love that après ski is so readily accessible here in Park City, so you can have a few drinks, share appetizers with your pals, and soak in the breathtaking sights after working hard all day long.

We recommend going to Drafts Sports Bar and Grill if you are in the mood to watch live sports on the numerous flat screen TVs to decompress after a full-on day of outdoor sports. Share some of the appetizers, like the cheesy mozzarella sticks or French fries, and pair them with a perfect pint of an IPA for a fresh kick or a hearty stout to warm up from being on the slopes.

For those who want cocktails and other unique food offerings, the Umbrella Bar is great for drink deals, good vibes, and far-reaching views. If you want to sit outside and soak in the pristine sunshine, the Corner Store in downtown Park City Base Area is ideal after you come right off of the mountain.

And for those who can ski right into town, or ski from their accommodation to a nearby restaurant, you can’t go wrong with the High West Distillery located just a few steps (or ski pushes) off of Main Street. The cocktails, draft beer, and well drinks here are just unbeatable.

Go Out at Night

If you are headed on vacation for Spring Break in Park City, chances are you want to go out, have fun, and have a few drinks. After a long few weeks of work, school, or family get-togethers, it can be time to decompress and de-stress. There is no better way than indulging in the city’s nightlife and meeting some other locals who are out on the town to have fun at the same time.

Not sure where to start? We bet. There are over 100 bars, clubs, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distillers in Park City. However, we recommend heading to the No Name Saloon for an Old Western vibe, cool music, friendly people, and great drinks. Then, continue the party at the Park City Pleasure Club to dance the night away with an infamous gin cocktail in hand.

Spring Concert Series

Head to downtown Park City, take off your ski boots, throw on your sunglasses, and just relax while listening to live music from local musicians and artists who are there to have a great time — just like you. There is free live music every Saturday beginning in March, so make sure to spend some time outside with your loved ones this holiday season.

If you can’t get enough of live music, DJs, and good tunes, check out the Mid Mountain Lodge during March to sit outside, have a drink from the public house, and listen to the DJ spin his tracks as you see the skiers whiz down the mountain.

For more live music, good vibes, and great drinks, the Spring Gruv at Park City Mountain is ideal for young people who want to go out and have fun with their pals. There is live music during March and April, offering free concerts every Saturday, yummy appetizers, family activities for your kids, and much more.
